Ninjaman is one of the most famous DJs of 90’s. As you can read in his biography (http://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:gifqxq8gldte~T1), his life is the one from a lot of ghetto boyz, fighting troubles, trying to escape and maybe with an end like in “the harder they come”. Indeed he used to be the most gun-pro lyricist then became a gospel singer, changing his name to Brother Desmond, to fight against crack addiction. He has been accused and acquitted in late 90’s for rape and murder. Then escape to death after being assaulted with a machete. And in 2009 he has been arrested and charged for murder again
I am not a big fan of Ninjaman because he is amongst those DJs who torn down reggae music to boggle during 90’s, but I have to admit; this song has everything to make it a big tune:
- a fuzzy jones intro
- a big bad digital foundation riddim, something between koloko and sleng teng
- a DJ with soundclash lyrics

Ninja never tore down anything. It wasn't his fault that he was so popular. Badness in reggae since the 60s you never saw 'The Harder They Come'? As for Bogle riddims, Ninja can deejay on anything and would usually choose to chat over the latest riddims to show his relevance and versatility. Ninja ah di Don one of the all-time greats. You might be surprised he has more songs about love, religions, poverty and politics than about guns. But he has lots of songs about guns too LOL
...ooh, the cellifone!!!
