Va – extra fresh 1 (kangal 1987)

This is a one-riddim compilation. It contains some of the best singers from late 80’s : Screwdriver, Horace Martin, Anthony Redrose, Echo Minott. There are also a rare DJ woman; Junie Ranks, two bad DJs; Louie Culture and Ashman and an obscure bad bad singer Yellow Bird.

The riddim is not very heavy but similar to the recently repress dancehall bubbler riddim.

This LP has been distributed by Tuff Gong but produced by Bobby “Digital” Dixon for Kangal records. For those who don’t know him, Bobby Digital (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Dixon_(musician)) was one of the King Jammy’s engineers during 80’s. After working with Jammy, he founded, the well-known label; Digital B. I think it is not necessary to present this label.
